Black Folks...Grit Your Teeth, Strike Out "Negro" & Do Your Census

Yes...I saw it too.  Yes, it annoyed me too.  Yes, I will be filling out the census form anyway.

Just get it done.  Scratch out the word "Negro" (little hint to our BFFs at the Census Bureau to ignore our senile kin next time), be as accurate as possible, and remember...it's only once every ten years.

Not filling it out won't make it go away.  When we ignore the our BFFs, they send their BFFs out to make our acquaintance.  As you can see, that's a friendship which doesn't come cheap.  And since we "Negroes" ain't got two nickles to rub together at this particular juncture don't have a lot of spare change right now, it's best if we just fill the damn thing out and send it back.
