Fuck her and her "lapse in judgment". I'm sick of these [white] teachers with their "lapses in judgment" when teaching about racism in America. Remember the one who tied up two black girls in her class and stuffed them under their desks to help "demonstrate" what it would be like to be on a slave ship? Remember that bullshit apology she spouted about how she was sorry "if the girls felt offended" but that "it wasn't her intent"?
These aren't "isolated incidents" - don't even bother going there. And don't preach to me the "she meant well" company lines; as Field Negro would say, she's just a decoy. I mean, seriously...how many times do we have to hear about this type of shit? And how many times do we have to hear the part where "the simple bitch got her job back, and she went on to live happily ever after"?
Fuck Ariemma. Fire her. Make an example of her, an epic example which will scare the shit out of and thus finally sink in for those who would follow and have similar "lapses in judgment".

I did not realize until recently how fortunate I was to have had all black teachers in my formative years. By the time "integration" rolled around, my black and red ass already knew who and what I was without their "instruction."

I believe KKK is something that needs to be talked about in school and everywhere, and not to be forgotten/minimized; plus, teachers and others should point to the kids that KKK is not the only way racism can take shape; many whites are not pro-KKK anyway, but they are racist in other ways, and that also needs to be talked about.
Plus, KKK is not just "history" as "distant past" (like Neanderthals or something) that doesn't concern anyone today.
But the way this woman did it... I don't know what to say. As far as I understand, all of her students are white. They do need a good lesson about racism, but obviously they can't get it from her because she has issues herself.
Oh, and I bet she "didn't mean any harm", because she is obviously blind to see what kind of harm can be done here.
